3 out of 5 stars Pro's and Con's of the velcro   August 27, 2010
John Schultz (Midwest USA)
Originally, I did not like the main velcro flap on this case. It is a bit flimsy. But it works. I have gotten used to whipping out my camera at a moments notice to take a pic. No zipper to deal with. So I have a love/hate relationship with this product. the biggest problem is that my camera is a slim style and this case is to big for it. If you have one of the larger camera's it will undoubtedly fit better than my Casio. It is only 6 bucks so in that sense it's a good bargain but there is better cases to be had. If you have a slim style camera you should check out the Dolica SM-98305BK

5 out of 5 stars Good, smaller camera case for smaller digital camara   August 18, 2010
Donnie Darko (Yakima, Washington)
My wife has a smaller digital camera that she really likes. How it has survived all the knocking around it has recieved over the past year I will never know. I did know that it's life was limited if I didn't get her a camera case that was small enough for her to use regularly, but big enough to hold some accessories. This camera case really fits the bill.... it's nicely padded, but no so much as to make it bulky. It has a belt loop that is strongly closed with velcro so it can be removed from or placed on the belt without having to take your belt off. It has a very nice full velcro front closure that holds the camera securely in the case even when you are actively moving around. No worries about the camera falling out. It also has a hand strap if you want to hold the camera and case in your hand. It has a nice zippered compartment on the front of the case, that is also covered by the front closure velcro. This is just the right size to hold extra micro chips and a good supply of AA size batteries. This is a real plus since my wife's camera seems to run out of battery power at all the wrong times and the extra batteries are always back in the car. The price and the features of this camera case make it just right for most of the smaller digital cameras. If your camera is no more than 4.5 inces long, 3 inches wide and 2 inches thick, which includes a lot of the more popular cameras, this is the right case for you. I recommend it.

4 out of 5 stars Nice size, flexible, thinly padded, not highest quality   August 18, 2010
Gabriel's Buddy (Carrboro, NC USA)
This is a small bag which fits items such as a digital cameral of moderate size. Mine is used for a Canon A560, which is an average size point and shoot. The bag fits the camera easily, with about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of space remaining. It isn't a snug fit but, then again, it is soft inside so I am not worried about the camera "rattling" around.

It is thinner than I expected and much softer. Maybe 1/8" of padding and very flexible. This is good in that it makes it easy to pack into another bag, but it is of limited protection for larger impacts, such as falls. There is a pocket on the front for storage.

As a prior reviewer mentioned, the velcro closure is sewn on at an odd angle, it looks like they don't have their quality control there just yet, and perhaps that is because this is a review sample.

There is also a velcro loop on the back for attaching it to something (a belt?), but I wouldn't trust that as you are relying on the velcro directly instead of the usual setup where velcro is used doubled-over on itself. It seems to me that the way they have it, the velcro would easily peel away during use.

It is frustration free packaging (and I'm sure this isn't typical) but this small, soft, padded thing came in a box maybe 2"x3"x4" within a much larger box maybe 24"x18"x12", filled with brown paper. Lots to recycle from this one purchase (but it was easy to open!). It could have been mailed in a padded envelope.

3 out of 5 stars The price is right for a one-size-fits-all camera bag   August 17, 2010
Christopher Bushman (Portland, OR USA)
This is a good little camera bag that will fit any point and shoot digital camera or "fatter" point and shoot 35 mm film camera. I would think most of the newer smallish hand-held camcorders would fit in here too.

Nice padding, very utilitarian, nothing fancy.

4 out of 5 stars good value for money   August 17, 2010
I. Tysoe (Earth)
You really can't beat this six dollar case in terms of value for money. It's lined with soft velcro, has a front pocket big enough for batteries and has a little convenient strap. The big minus is that the case is flat which means that it's probably best for camera phones. Like another reviewer we use ours for our GPS. It's perfect for that. As is the price.
